Ed Stone

Jazz guitarist Ed Stone has released his third CD “King Of Hearts.”  This CD continues to demonstrate Stone’s strong skills in song writing, arranging and producing.  Ed says, “everything I write begins with an attitude of fun and a need to express how I feel inside.”  Ed goes on, “my songs are written to excite thinking patterns and personal reflection about life’s possibilities.”

Stone’s creative musical career began in Seattle, Washington at age 12 and now brings him to Detroit, Michigan where he makes his home. Stone studied music in college and has played in numerous jazz and top 40 groups. “I always knew I was a musician inside,” he said, “The guitar allows me to tell my story in a creative way that the listener understands.”

Currently, Stone has been playing in local clubs (Baker’s keyboard Lounge, Harbor House Restaurant) and special events in the Metro Detroit area.  The New Center Park Summer Music Series, Idlewild Music Festival, Belle Isle Jazz Concert Series, Campus Martus Park Jazz Series and the Fox 2 Morning News Weekend Show on WJKB-TV are some of his key engagements.

Ed is now positioning himself to bring his music to regional audiences and expand abroad where he can display his unique brand of smooth jazz.  Finally, Dr Stone has his own medical practice serving his patients in the Metro Detroit area.  “Careful planning makes everything possible,” says Ed.  “I just like to have fun with music, my fans and my people.”
