(Detroit, MI)  The United Trumpet Summit featuring Randy Brecker, Jeremy Pelt & Leon Jordan Jr. is like a major All Star trio of Trumpeters who drops in for two nights and 4 sets of incredible music and playful, musical competition!

This unique tribute to Clifford Brown brings together 3 of America’s treasured Trumpet musicians to the cozy confines of Detroit’s premier Jazz Room, Jazz Cafe for 4 sets in two nights only.

Randy Brecker has been shaping the sound of Jazz, R&B and Rock for more than four decades. His trumpet and flugelhorn performances have graced hundreds of albums by a wide range of artists from James Taylor, Bruce Springsteen and Parliament-Funkadelic to Frank Sinatra, Steely Dan, David Sanborn, Jaco Pastorius, Horace Silver and Frank Zappa.

Jeremy Pelt has become one of the preeminent young trumpeters within the world of jazz. Forging a bond with the Mingus Big Band very early on, as his career progressed, Pelt built upon these relationships and many others which eventually lead to collaborations with some of the genre's greatest masters. Bobby "Blue" Bland, Ravi Coltrane, Frank Foster, Winard Harper, Jimmy Heath, Vincent Herring, John Hicks, Charli Persip, Ralph Peterson, Lonnie Plaxico, Bobby Short, Cedar Walton, Frank Wess, Nancy Wilson and The Skatalites, to name a few.
 
 Leon Jordan Jr. gained lots of experience and knowledge thought intensive study, and was granted a full scholarship to University of the Arts, where he earned a bachelors degree in Trumpet performance in 2009. Leon’s recorded two self produced CDs containing all original material, has recorded with Bilal, Musiq Soulchild, Kindred the family soul, and Maysa Leak on their recent projects. Leon is no newcomer to the limelight, having shared the stage with such luminaries as Charles Fambrough, Orrin Evans, Chuck Loeb, Rick Braun, Earth Wind and Fire to name just a few.
