Wispy instrumentals and soothing melodies are trademark Tim Reeves. The Detroit born saxophonist awakens the spirit like the dawn – effortlessly. Music has the power to heal. With Something Special and Long Way Home, his first two released albums, Reeves proved to be a doctor of his self-labeled “Instrumental Inspirational” style. He prescribes rolling tunes that relieve the stress of a hectic day. His style allows those in his care to tap into the freedom and release that is truly God inspired. “This artist has a very refreshing sound” proclaims Award-winning Singer/Songwriter Kim Rutherford.

The power to compose is not fly-by-night; Reeves’ exposure and influences run deep. He was first inspired when listening to his Bishop perform. Sax greats such as Grover Washington Jr., Kenny G, Gerald Albright, and Boney James only deepened his resolve. He adapted a sound that is a mix of Smooth and Contemporary Jazz, and Inspirational music.  The freedom that he realized through listening transcended into Something Special, his first release.

Through his brief tenure as an upcoming brass force, he has had the opportunity to open for and record with various artists such as Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, William Murphy, Ben Tankard and Michael Brooks. These experiences coupled with his love of music, has led Tim on a journey, and we’re happy that he has allowed us to enjoy the ride.
