Building UP: Partnering in Health and Wholeness - a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit - was founded by motivated US partners raising funds and support to improve health in rural Uganda. Conversations with Dr. Elia Musasizi, a trusted pastor and medical doctor, revealed the need for a facility in Sayyi Uganda and Building Up was formed to help build and launch the Tsyion Family Hospital.
Now that the hospital is built, Building Up Board Members, Advisory Council Members and supporters continue to:
- Raise funds to staff and equip the hospital in Sayyi, Uganda.
- Build cross-cultural relationships to share knowledge and resources to create healthy communities.
- Develop relationships with granting agencies and foundations to sustain the hospital.
- Gather donations from US based health programs that can be shipped to Uganda.
- Recruit health professionals and students to visit and support the hospital for specialty clinics and learning opportunities.
