The Golden World Studio was stiff competition for Berry Gordy’s Motown who eventually bought Golden World  studios which he later named Motown’s Studio B which was located on Davison Avenue in Detroit.  Franklin James  recorded his first album at age 21 in 1975 as the keyboard player with a group called Damn Sam The Miracle Man and The Soul Congregation and together they traveled  cross country playing from west coast to east coast and later settled  in New York where the group performed at different venues in and around New York. The album or CD is still being sold today. In 1979 the group disbanded and each went his or her seperate ways and Franklin settled down and raised a family.  His passion for music never left, so,… once again Franklin has brought together for this special occasion  Herb Small (guitar genius) who plays with Mr. Charles Davis of Motown’s Hall of Fame receipiants The  Contours,  Desmond William aka, Papa Drama who just signed a recording Contract with Universal  Music, Billy  (bass player) who can play anything, Derek  Andre(vocalist. writer, arranger)  who recorded and produced a CD on himself  and his brothers  which was call The Lyons Brothers and as our very special guest Mr Charles Davis. So  welcome to Franklin James and Friends night.
