This special event shines a spotlight on the next generation of jazz talent, paying homage to the pioneers who shaped the art form. Performed entirely by a talented cast of youth artists, the show brings to life the timeless music of jazz legends, including Hazel Scott, Lena Horne, Sarah Vaughan, Cab Calloway, and Etta James, alongside the poetic brilliance of Langston Hughes.
The evening promises a celebration of artistry and storytelling, featuring live performances of beloved classics such as Stormy Weather, At Last, Minnie the Moocher, God Bless the Child, and many more. Interwoven with monologues, poetry, and live instrumentation, the production creates a moving tribute to the legacy of jazz and its enduring impact. Accompanied by Music Director Pamela Wise.
