The Hug Detroit Spirit Awards & The Preservation of Jazz Appreciation Ceremony has become one of the highlights of the year in Detroit.

 

It's our opportunity to pay tribute to the Detroit Spirits, super fans, artists, musicians, vocalist, supporters and the Jazz community who have supported Detroit, Michigan's vision of giving, teaching, and promoting good positive light all year long.

Thank you for being an inspiration and giving your best to Metro Detroit, Michigan and around the world. Thank you for producing quality events, in front and behind the scenes. Thank you for caring for our youth, our families and elder neighbors with love, respect, and great entertainment.

The ceremony begins at 7p. July 25, 2023, at the Aretha’s Jazz Cafe 350 Madison Avenue. There is no cover. But there will be a donation table for those who'd like to donate to Hug Detroit Day Back Pack Drive.
