Detroit Music Award Winner for the Jazz Vocalist Sky Covington is a chanteuse, jazz poet, and recording artist. Entering my 16th year as a professional entertainer, her magnetic presence creates a sultry stage atmosphere and challenges her audience’s expectations with her phrasing, and vocal styling. You will only hear a hint of pass musicians, and vocalist in her voice. But she is surely an original. Mostly Sky Covington inspiration involved & evolved from the Vaudeville/Cotton Club, early Jazz cultured movement, and ignites the stage with a unique poetic range, and skilled voice that has kept audiences at the edge of their seats…curious, and entertained.
