Friday, July 10th 2015  -  Doors at 7pm  (show at 8pm, two sets to be performed)  -  $7Jazz Café at Music Hall, 360 Madison St., Detroit, MI  48226(313) 887-8532Detroit, MI - The Jazz Café at Music Hall is your host for Jarrod Champion’s proud return to the arena of original music.  The event will take place Friday, July 10th at 8pm and will feature Jarrod Champion performing new original material as well as his classic material realized in a brand new way.  Jarrod Champion started his career as an original artist and has since become a member and/or sideman for a number of Detroit blues, rock, roots and jazz outfits including The Sights, The Brunswick Brawlers, Jennifer Westwood and the Handsome Devils, Ryan Dilliha and the Miracle Men and RJ Spangler’s Blues Gang, to name a few.  He has toured throughout the US and Europe and has to date recorded one full-length album and two E.P.’s.Since his departure from writing and performing his own material Jarrod’s sound has evolved and been seasoned by new influences, such as early New Orleans jazz and early delta blues, while inevitably retaining a familiar charm.  For those familiar with Jarrod’s material, this is the perfect opportunity to experience it in new way.  For those only familiar with Jarrod as a jazz and blues piano man, this is the perfect opportunity to see him in a new and more intimate light.  And for those not familiar with Jarrod Champion’s work at all, here’s an opportunity to be enlightened!www.jarrodchampion.com
