About The Whiskey Charmers:

The Whiskey Charmers are a Detroit-based band led by Carrie Shepard and Lawrence Daversa. Their captivating Spaghetti Western sound is cinematic in scope and evokes imagery of a lonesome desert highway.Ken Capobianco, Boston Globe Music Critic described their most recent album as a “Sharply executed and evocative set of Americana rock filled with superbly arrangedyy songs about the struggle to find connections, a sense of home, and a center in a ghost town of a world.” With two Detroit Music Awards under their belt and a growing fan base, the duo is quickly gaining momentum as they gear up for their fifth full length studio album poised to drop this Spring. About Kate Hinote & Tony Hamera:

Vocalist Kate Hinote and guitarist/producer Tony Hamera are a husband/wife songwriting duo based out of Detroit, with a dozen releases to their credit over the last 17 years.  Their sound has always matched their varied influences, ranging from Americana/Folk-Noir to Alternative/Psych Rock with their current band The Blueflowers, Shoegaze/Dreampop with their first endeavor, Ether Aura, and Post-Apocalyptic Folk with the one-off passion project, Sound of Eleven.  While they have weaved in and out of various genres, there has always been a thread connecting their projects with a Hamera/Hinote style.  Words like cinematic and hauntingly beautiful have often been used to describe their music, no matter the genre, with references to David Lynch and Quentin Tarantino films as a proposed and sought after backdrop to their work.  While Hinote and Hamera most often share the stage as part of a six-piece band, as a duo they appreciate the opportunity to perform stripped-down versions of their songs and showcase their work as songwriters.  Learn more at www.katehinote.com/blueflowers 

 

About Anthony Retka:

Anthony Retka is a Detroit-born singer-songwriter who has spent the last twenty years writing music, recording, performing, and touring. Retka’s name is synonymous with the lilting melodies that spill forth from his stripped-down acoustic sound. As Detroit music critics have mentioned, a listener may find tribute nods to some of his standout favorites such as The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Ron Sexsmith, Elliott Smith, and Paul Simon. By no mistake, like Retka, these influential artists celebrate the simpler things in life.
