Malik Alston is a multitalented composer, producer, performer and DJ from Detroit, Michigan. He is a graduate of Central High School, and has studied vocal music and electrical engineering at Wayne State University.
He began his musical life at the age of 11, singing at school with concert and honors choirs. His mother inspired him to excel, and to develop his voice. She was a classically trained lyric soprano and composer. Malik’s sister thought that he needed guidance to stay out of trouble, due to the loss of his father at an early age. She realized that his gift of music could be nurtured at Hartford Memorial Baptist Church.

In Brooklyn, NY, Ricardo Quiñones began playing guitar at the age of ten on a three-string garage sale find, thus beginning a lifelong love affair with the instrument and it's possibilities. This fascination with the guitar eventually found him playing, writing and collaborating with a wide range of musically kindred spirits including Alicia Keys, India Arie, Sade, Luther Vandross, Brooklyn-based Afro-beat band Antibalas, and others. Ricky has been playing with the production of the musical FELA! since it opened on Broadway, November 2009.

It all started with the desire. The desire to sing and have something to say. Singer/ Songwriter/ Guitarist - BRITNEY STONEY, has done things her way and has managed to amass a large following in the city we call Detroit. In the few years since graduating High School , the vocalist has made it a point to be singing somewhere almost weekly ( and in some cases daily) “grinding out” and building an impressive buzz about herself. The statuesque young singer chose to not only sing but to do it organically by also playing guitar. Something she just learned to do a short two years ago. Giving her self written songs an extra amount of earnestness and descriptive flair missing in mainstream music. A throwback to the days of Tracy Chapman and Dionne Farris, STONEY has a unique vocal tone that suggest not only Soul/ Neo Soul music leanings but incorporates elements of Funk, Rock, Jazz, Pop and a bit of Reggae and even Country, making her a musical Gumbo all her own. Her Soul alternative sound attracts many to not only hear but understand & submit to her topics. She is every one of us at some point and relative to us. She has carved a path through the open mic, coffe shop, and club scenes that have led her to being an in demand performer . She has been asked to perform on Detroits biggest festival stages including 2012 editions of Arts, Beats & Eats, Winterblast, and RiverDays among others. Demonstrating the benefits of the “Blue Collar “ work ethic Detroit is known for.
L-13 band was formed in 2004,the band consist of J.B.bass /band leader,SASSIE BLEU -music director,lead/background vocals,PRO - on drums,SANDY- percussions, MAGIC MIKE- lead/background vocals,WILL- lead/background vocals,MIKE DOBBS- on keys,and STEVE LEE- lead guitar.L-13 have performances at the princess boat, the scarab club,the yacht club for habitat for humanity,berts jazz club,and many private party.L-13 band is a family band that brings enjoyment when they get down with the sounds though-out michigan, let us give you a night they'll never forget.
