I’m extremely excited about the reboot of the 4-year old Aretha’s Jazz Jam! Along with Jordan Schug and Dave Zwolinski, we offer an educational experience to many young and experienced jazz musicians looking for a friendly room and non-judgmental group of players/educators interested in the journey of your growth as a musician. Music Hall has been extremely supportive in our endeavour of education themed jam offering mentorship to those who seek it.
We would like to challenge the attendees who would like to take us up on it, 20 tunes to choose from to learn and play at our session. This Google has lead sheets, links to YouTube performances, and difficulty labels. We’ll play whatever is requested, but in an effort to bring new tunes into the mix we hope some musicians try some of these new selections to broaden their base and keep things interesting at Aretha’s.
