Veteran Detroit radio personality, Judy Adams,
has devoted her career to enriching and educating
listeners with creative music experiences.
Her one of a kind dance party mixes are sonic excursions that seamlessly transcend genre and geography, utilizing vintage production techniques with dance floor aesthetics. Expect an adventurous, hypnotic blend of rare and authentic dance music from all over the world.
Having hosted/produced over 8,000 radio shows, she also draws on her skills as trained composer and musicologist to craft genre blending/bending mixes that incorporate music from a variety of cultures, styles and time periods.
Known for her 32 year run as program director and daily host
at WDET-FM 101.9, she currently hosts a creative
music variety show on CJAM 99.1, and guest hosts on WRCJ-FM 90.9.
Adams' DJ gigs have included opening for Paul Oakenfold, and Sasha and Digweed, plus after parties for Fela (Musical), Concert of Colors, Sean Blackman's "In Transit" at the DSO Music Box, as well as the Detroit International Auto Show Charity Preview, The Detroit Artist Market Garden Party, and events a the Scarab Club, University of Windsor, Affirmations, and elsewhere.
