The HSQ is a Detroit-based jazz quintet that performs original music. The group is spearheaded by Saxophonist James Hughes & trumpeter Jimmy Smith, the group features the rhythm section of Phil Kelly, Takashi Iio and Nate Winn. The quintet formed in the autumn of 2012 with the purpose of promoting their brand of Detroit be-bop. Fresh tunes, tight ensemble work, intriguing solos and music that swings are among the groups trademarks.

Alise King better known as “Lee Lee” was bornand raised in Detroit, Michigan. Alise
started singing at a very young age. Whileattending high school, she developed a
love for writing and performing arts. Herfavorite classes being solo and ensemble,
and creative writing. She excelled in thearts receiving many music awards, and writing
certificates. After high school Alise beginto write her own music and develop her voice
and sound. Alise has written 9 stage plays,multiple poems, many short stories and over
250 songs.
Alise has tried out for many televisedsinging competitions such as American Idol (at
the age of 16), X factor, Sunday Best, andThe Voice making it to the final audition
round of each show but never onto the show.Alise has won the 107.5fm mason radio
new soul singer competition in October 2010.Alise also recently won and became the
Detroit winner for The BET Apollo Live LoungeTour Competition in November 2012.
She also is the One of The Lead vocalist forDetroit’s own HTS BAND and has been
a member since 2006. In December 2011 Alisemade the COVER of The Michigan
Citizen Newspaper for her performance at TheAcoustic Guitar R&B Live Show held at
the Jazz Café in Music Hall, She was alsoPublished in the Michigan Citizen Newspaper
again In February 2012 for her Tribute showHonoring The late Whitney Houston, and
in January 2013 She made the Detroit FreePress for her Live Show at Shots Bar in
Greek town Casino. Recently Alise became theRunner Up in The Fox 2 News National
Singing Competition….

Band Valter was formed in Detroit in 2009. All of the members are originally from a little country known today as Bosnia-Herzegovina, one of the former republics of SFR Yugoslavia.
While most of the band members (today consisting of Haris Kajtazovic, Sanjin Alisa, Edis Kapic, Igor Arabadzic, and Elvis Babacic) have lived and/or grew up in the United States, the band performs music from former Yugoslavia as well as their own, since releasing their first album in 2011 for Hayat Production in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
After the release of the album, the band performed to a jam-packed Jazz Cafe in downtown Detroit on January 21st, 2012 in order to promote the new release. A tour across the US occurred a few months later.
Valter’s two music videos, “Precica do sna” ["Shortcut to the dream"], and “Razglednica” ["Postcard"] was ranking very high in many of Bosnian radio top-lists, as well as on several major television networks in the country.
