Born in Port Harcourt Nigeria, Chinonye Nsofor was influenced by the arts and culture of Africa at a very young age. She was part of a traditional ceremonial group in her home town, were she honed sense to spiritually connect through music. Combining her eclectic background as a traditional healer and a musical performer, Chinonye weaves soulful melodic tales to entertain, enlighten and empower her audience through musicality. Chinonye and her afro-jazz band Calabar Theatre invite you for a night of storytelling, through music, art and dance. Accompanied by Keith Gamble-tenor Sax, Donnie Wilson-bass, Dave Cheney-percussion, Ron Philpot-guitar.
